What should I buy for skiing?

I'm going skiing in Finland in December and I'm wondering what kit to buy? Do I need moon boots? What are...

    This is the stuff i bought when i went skiing: Thermal under clothes - pants and top Snow pants Snow coat ***thin*** socks - NOT thick Goggles Snow boots (thick and waterprooff) Snow Gloves (not normal gloves) scarf and hat You're looking at a few hundred quid anyway. You'll get ski boots and skis and poles when you get there.

No to the moon boots,but make sure you take extra clothing,i was in ruka finland in jan 2005 and the temps ranged from -19 to -32 and thats without windchil..................so be warned. You want layers and not just heavy jackets e.t.c i`d also make sure you invest in some decent skiing socks/gloves and also a skiing mask.If you are lucky that the weather stays on your side for the week you will enjoy it. ps enjoy the reindeer soup

One purpose only - to keep your feet warm. I would recommend you go to a specialist sports shop, like Snow & Rock, and talk to them.

Don't worry. There is no moon in Finland. You'll be fine. It is quite cold though.

Don't know about kit for skiing dude, reckon what you'll need is 'Protective body armour'!.... ooooh don't forget the helmet...........!!!!!!!!!!!
