Are powder boards fine in terrain parks?

Can you use any skis in terrain parks?

  Contrary to what most Newschoolers think, it is absolutely, 100%, freakin' possible to ski the park on a set of flat tail skis. Waaaaay back in the day (like 1994-95) when they first opened a terrain park at my local hill the jokers that ran the place put up big signs in the park that said "Snowboards Only." Well, I can't tell you how many times I had whistles blown in my direction, stopped at the bottom, or had a member of the goon squad (the local skier safety team...not the patrol) waiting for me at the top of the lift to issue forth (yet another) warning. Not only were my skis and my buddies' skis not twins, they were STRAIGHT! I thumb my nose in the general direction of anyone who says you need twins. I do agree with Jim W in so much as his assessment of XC and Water skis. Although someone wearing a sweet set of Karhu 10th Mountains rigged up with a burly 3-pin might (might) be able to pull something off. There's a bunch of Newschool Telemarkers who can jib with the best of the kids on bondage boards. (I'm still not that good on mine.) So rip away with whatever you got on your feet!
