What percent of the brain do we use?

If we only use a small percent of our brain, then what is the rest of the brain capable of?

  • Answer:

Homo Sapiens has been around at least 100,000 years, more likely a lot more. But only a blink of the eye compared to the total time of life on earth. When we first started working metals, it took only 5000 years for us to reach the moon and beyond. Only time will tell.

We in fact do use 100% of our brain just not at the same time. However, there are some finding that have shown some people have more neural connections than others and therefore are able to process information or ideas more quickly. The opposite is true in cases of drug abuse where one destroys the connections and therefore destroys the ability to think quickly and clearly (even when not currently under the influence of any drug). What the brain we do have is capable of is something that has yet to be fully explored. Psiexploraton

I think you mean mind not brain. The mind monitors everything.

Not all our brain is used for thought/sensory, some is used for health, motion- the list goes on. I like the thought that our brain size is large in order to grasp the spiritual!
