Is there any scientific explanation for Deja Vu?

Is there a scientific explanation for someone having a deja vu?

  • Did someone really see the future or is there a more logical explanation? Thanks!

  • Answer:

Deja vu is caused by an overlap of the long and short term memory in the brain. Every moment a person sees/feels something, the image/experience would normally be stored in the short term memory, but when deja vu occurs, that short period of time that they experience gets put in the long term memory instead, leading to that sense of the experience happening again. This is probably just the surface of the since of deja vu, but i hope it helps

Some people like to say that deja vu is because half your brains slower then the other but I would highly doubt it, as for whether your seeing into the future that I can't say.

I know that in the face of death your mind flashes through images of your life to find something of some use. there was this man that was attacked by a shark and he said that his whole life flashed before his eyes until a point where he was watching a documentary about surviving shark attacks. It may be true, and deja vu may have something to do with it.
