Does anyone know the 400 meter dash times needed to get a scholarship?

    OK... 55 will pretty much get you money anywhere except maybe UT, LSU, South Carolina and places like that. For those schools, they are looking for the people who place top 3 at state which means probably 53/54.

Well for a 400m your time needs to be under 60sec that is really good. But wants you get that time keep on trying to get lower then your last time. I'm a 8th grader and my time is 65sec so you should be able to get it under my time really easly.

i would say depend on where you are you would need to get a nationals quilifyer or do well at state! good luck though keep up the training and u will get there

First UT and Baylor are D 1 schools, not D 3 schools. You did not say what was your time for the 300 hurdles. Realistically you need to be running 54-55 seconds to go to either of those schools in the 400. If you can run a good 400 hurdles you are valuable to schools because you can run the 4x400, hurdles, 400, maybe the 100 hurdles, or the 200. I think you have the sprint speed to attend a D 1 school, you just need to have some races that reflect that speed.

Your 400 time is really good! Your 100 time sounds good but i dont do the 100 hurdles so im not sure. I think for the 400 you should be anywehre from 51-56 :)

I disagree with his answer considering Baylor's women's record for the 400 is a 52. If you could get under 60 you would be in range for getting a scholarship.

i'm a 400 runner also. For a female runner, i'd say 51 and under are decent times to get you at a good level for scholarships.
