How can I get in shape for Cross Country?

I want to run cross country next school year! Can i be able to get in running shape in 2 months?

    Contact the coach and ask him for a running program and tell him where you are now. He will admire your dedication and remember you, even if you aren't the fastest runner on the team.

The only thing you can do is run. Just run as much as you can 5-6 days a week. You'll be in shape by the school year. If you want to go the extra mile talk to the coach and I'm sure he will be more than happy to give you a training plan to get you in shape.

Hell yeah u can. I got in shape in two weeks for cross country by pushing myself. I did 6 miles, 5 days a week for two weeks. It was well of enough base to beat all my friends. The first 3 days are going to be hell though. U r going to have to just do it like nike r run a little then stop and repeat. The best way, in my opinion is to just push maximum mileage for a week, then comfortably do that same mileage nex week until u r where u need to b

There are training plans called Couch to 5K. Google it. They get you in shape in 6 to 8 weeks.

Try going out and run 10 minutes like you said you can and then walk for 5 to catch your breath. After you have, run another 10 minutes and break for 5. You can build your endurance this way. You can change it up- i.e. up the running time and lower your resting time till eventually you can make it 4 miles. Good luck!
