Is affiliate marketing legit?

Sure it is but most of affiliate marketer don't make enough after some time. IMO we need a degree in affiliate marketing to do good.

The simple answer is yes it is legit if you go with big companies like amazon or ebay. HOWEVER, and this is a big however, the time an energy it takes to earn the small 10% commission greatly outweighs the overall effort you will put into it. Unless you have a high traffic website already established that can generate clicks for you I would say avoid it all together and look for something a bit more lucrative. Good luck!
