Has anyone ever purchased anything from the auction website Swoopo.com?

  • It looks like it has some great deals, but it seems a bit dodgy. Can anyone tell me if there is anything I should know before bidding. Like is it legal? and are the products new? etc.

    I tried this last week and thought this is too good to be true - i should have trusted my instincts. You need to buy credits to bid and alot of time on your hands. I got 20 credits for £10 which basically lets you have 20 hits on bidding. It all went in a jiffy but i didn't have a clue what was happening as there isn't much control. another annoying thing is an item will say 10 mins till bid end then gets increased every hit , so it could go on all night. Its legit company but one big con.

It's very dodgy. Listen - go and use ebay or overstock or craigslist or the million other places. Swoopo.com makes you buy credits that you then bid with. You aren't guaranteed the price at all!
