How much should I charge for graphic design work?

How much per hour do graphic designers charge to design flyers/promo work?

  • Answer:

The charges are generally based on experience. I've seen what the other answers are giving and they are all in line with what you could expect to pay. However you can do it yourself with FREE templates from Microsoft if your work isn't that involved. You should at least take a look before you spend any money. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/FX100595491033.aspx Remember a Graphic Artist needs to eat too.

Usually I charge a flat rate, depending on the project, then an hourly rate for revisions. For example: Flyer - $300 for three options Revisions - $25 per hour That gives the client options without endless changes for free. (Clients will change their minds over and over if you let them!)

I have been a graphic artist for over 17 years. I charge between $40 to $75 per hour. With a minimum of $75 per job A flier usually runs between $75 to $150. You can see my portfolio here. http://www.neopoe.com/portfolio.

Nothing. Pay per job. If you pay per hour you'll notice a steady trend upwards in terms of how long it'll take. Outsourcing? Sorry, that's what I'm going with here.
