Do Internet ads actually make any money for the advertiser?

Banner ads and animated ads are not as effective as they used to be. But textual ads can be VERY effective. I know people who make hundreds of thousands a year with ads in the search engines (like Google and Yahoo). I myself made over $15,000 doing it my first year in my spare time.

it is actually not a very effective form of advertising. cheap but not so effective, atleast that is what my teacher said.

They say in the billions. I am not certain how, but microsoft wants the space. How bad could it be? The ads are only as good as the company they choose to create them. I love the Gap clothing line, with or without the ad. Always have.
