Is Interface Talent a scam/fraud or does it actually help people become models?

My daughter was approached in a shopping mall, told she was pretty, and asked if she wanted to be a model. Interface Talent then called us to set up an appointment. Are they for real ...show more

Answer:
Interface isn't an agency & they won't get your daughter the work. What Interface Talent does is look for young people with potential. At the evaluation they'll discuss how to get your daughter seen by people wo will give her work(casting directors, agencies, managers, etc) & provide you with the tools you need to to do so. So what will happen is you'll go in their system & when somebody in the industry will say example.. "I need a girl about 15, 5 feet & brunette", Interface will send your daughters info to them & hopefully she'll be what they're looking for. Its like instead of going to endless open calls & interviews.. she's already connected.

I went to Interface for my evaluation on Sunday and both me and my daughter loved it. We were so impressed with both the place it self, all of their success stories, and the knowledgeable director we met with. They work with the who's who in the industry and they have the success stories to back it up. They showed us their models who because of their connections have been seen in Law and Order, Gossip Girl, and tons more. My daughter booked a photo shoot and we are really excited about Interface promoting our daughter with in the industry. We have been trying to get her seen on our own and we have come up with zero results. Interface does the leg work for you. If you are interested in breaking into the industry I would definitely go check them out.

"Interface!?" MORE LIKE "INTER-DISGRACE!" Back in September 2013 while back to school shopping with my children in Menlo Park Mall in Edison NJ we were approached by a so called scout from INTERFACE. I was very hesitant so I declined any info at first then approach a second time, same day so I agreed to give my info. An interview was schedule for my daughter and they gave us all the Mumbo-Jumbo of how much my teen can make it as a Model. Then they gave me more Mumbo-Jumbo about the fees for a photo shoot. In my mind, regardless whether she made it or not, "I'll have beautiful photos of her to display at home. So the shoot was scheduled. I came home and did a little research on prices and quickly realized that I was being scammed!!!!! According to their refund policy, I had to submit a certified letter by a certain date to get my refund. I DID THAT!!! I properly followed through with their policy! Now why is it that INTERFACE HAS YET TO REFUND MY MONEY????!!!! I am beyond FRUSTRATED and must say very EMBARRASSED!!!! Embarrassed that I could fall for such a SCAM but lesson learned. I am now in the process of doing everything possible to get my money back!!! If an agent or anyone at interface customer service/relation is reading this "I WANT WANT MY MONEY!!!" And if anyone is reading this that has no idea what INTERFACE is about RUN!!! They are a SCAM and RIPOFF!!!!!!

They are a big time scam. High pressure sales pitch with your child there so the 'Director' can play on his or her emotions. $600-$5000 photo shoots, $200-$3000 in additional marketing and there is no guarantee of actually getting your money's worth in real work. Their website says that you will get a 'request' which means nothing because it is not a real job with real money. Don't walk...run away from InterFACE.

Interface approached is in the mall "your kid is so pretty ...la la la" we got sucked in and basically before they do anything for you. You can shell out $ 1500 approx. with no recourse if their efforts shall not be fruitful. To my mind this is getting paid on the front end for foto shoots for them and print media and maybe you get a deal out of it. For sure you are out of some cash. Is is a SCAM -- YES -- the way were approached was not correct. I even asked if there are fees up front and the answer was NO. So, that's a lie for starters. I would not recommend it. Stay with a reputable agency and pay your share but at least you know they have an incentive to network for you otherwise the agency won't get paid. INTERFACE primarily is a marketing company and they market their shoots of your child to YOU and YOU pay for that. That part is true..
Watch Out !
I cant believe I wasted my money on this fake agency. I am suing for ever single dime I spent.. They are without a doubt fake and please do not waste your money it is not real. They changed my password to my account with out my knowing, so I had to reset it and when I did all my pictures had been deleted . I go back today to see if they'd reappear and my password has been changed again. Do not waste your money or time this thing they got going on is NOT REAL it's a scam and hey just want your money
