What are some ways to advertise a Church for FREE locally?

I like what other people are saying. Please also consider that a lot of companies will donate to charitable organizations, or atleast give good discounts. Go to a sign company and try to rent a billboard. I believe they can deduct it from their taxes, so why wouldn't they do it? Good luck and God bless you!

Another idea is to use Vistaprint.com. They offer all kinds of "free" things such as 100 free postcards (you just pay for shipping), free business cards, etc. The postcards would be an excellent way to market your church location, hours, and outreach services. You can use the custom designs that VistaPrint offers to enhance your product. Flyers work as well...grab a couple of church members and/or your children, print up some flyers and head to some area grocery stores, restaurants, laundromats...you name it! Another thought is to post some information in your local barber and beauty shops.

Networking is the best form of advertising and it is free. Also flyers as long as they are permited in the location that you are posting them. You can also see if you can link to another web site it is called url exchange. hmmmmmmmm, Honestly if you have a little bit of money in your budget the most effective advertising would be a small ad in your community newspaper. remember in advertising it takes money or investment to get results. good luck.

One good way is to list events in your local newspaper. Most newspapers have a local bulletin board where they post groups events for free.

Resturants, book stores, local radio sometimes do bulletins, so just ask to announce services for church(maybe organize a taco dinner or a pancake meet and greet) Nothing brings them in faster than food!!! then feed the belly then the soul, look for free publications that are distributed and contact them, get a free web site and post the address everywhere to encourage people to come look. Common, I know the lord will flood your mind if you be creative....

Tell your local newspaper when you host an event, sometimes they'll send a photographer or let you submit somthing in the features or entertainment section. Participate as a group in a community activity. Get a nice sign. Give away tums at a chilli fest. Offer juice or water after a run. Sponsor a parents night out (with reservations) Have some members agree to watch kids for a few hours one night if you have the facilities. Advertise it as free with flyers at a school or daycare in your area. Lets people know about and become familiar with your facilities

Maybe donate soome time to a local charity or have a bake sale, Get involved in the community a little more and get your name out there.

Maybe if you all have your own computer you can make flyers.
