Is bottled water the biggest marketing scam ever?

Yes. I get my water from a hole in the ground. Or a "Well" as we like to call it. It is the best water I have ever tasted and its free. Imagine that.

yes, I think it is a huge scam. it has convinced me that people are complete idiots and will buy anything. so I`m working on a plan to sell compressed scented air in small portable containers.There is going to be a beach scent, a spring scent, even a farm scent. I`m going to be rich!

Of course it's a scam, and a legal one. If people are silly enough to buy water in a bottle, when they can get it for free out of a tap, they deserve to be scammed though. No one tells them they HAVE to buy it. Though, in some countries you must drink the bottled water, otherwise you will be very ill.

just goes to show that with proper marketing and wide enough advertising, you can sell a dead skunk as a dessert.

yea water has been free for years and all of a sudden someone decided to put it in a bottle and is now making billions off of it. Are you just that stupid or is that person really that smart?
