How to add another email to desktop?

Is there any CRM that lets me manage leads from email, primarily on mobile (i.e., not via a browser plugin?)

  • I want a CRM tool that makes it easy to track leads on email without needing to open its client or to use a particular browser plugin or toolbar.  I'd like to create leads, update leads and tag/categorize primarily over email.  Emails will come from many different people, and I hate manually creating contacts or joining contacts or creating leads in the CRM's front end.  I am on mobile 90% of the time, so requiring a desktop/browser is a pain.  And preferably w/o any apps.  Just plain email. There seem to be lots of CRMs that allow creation of leads via an email CC or BCC, and lots that use POP to import your email, but most are horrible in requiring you to either prepopulate contacts/leads (particularly multiple leads from the same firm) or they create multiple contacts/leads for the same firm if you have multiple messages. Evernote has decent email parsing (I can create a lead in the subject line, add tags via hash, and mark folder with the -at- sign.  But I cannot really track leads over time and do much more than plain text search.  Further, it's hard to use this format to group multiple bits of info over time on the same lead. In short, I'd like to send emails like this: To: bcc.xyz-at-crm-dot-com Subject: MyDeal (atsign)deals (hashtag)tracking (hashtag)sector Then have it parse out contact info from email headers, create OR update the lead marked "MyDeal" in the CRM system, and preferably save attachments. Evernote gets me sort of there, but there aren't any tools that can manage better than just dumping a lead into Zoho versus updating an existing lead and parsing out the contacts. Tools tried already: Zoho, Evernote, Zapier, Base, Highrise, Salesforce.com, Gmail, etc.

We built http://Close.io to track all your email communication (sent and received) with leads/contacts -- EVEN IF YOU DON'T USE OUR APP. By plugging in your SMTP+IMAP credentials, we'll automatically check emails that you send/receive and link them up with any relevant leads. Doesn't matter if you use your iPhone, Gmail, or whatever.

I work with Base CRM - http://getbase.com - which definitely does what you describe. Maybe contact to see if maybe you missed a step? Long story short, Base comes with Google integration, which takes less than a minute to set up and needs to be done in the browser on your computer. Once that's set up, Base is smart enough to grab copies of emails you exchange with any of your Base contacts. So you can email back and forth with your prospects or customers as much as you like via your regular email on your phone and it's all going to make it into Base without you having to remember to BCC.

It seems what you are after could be easily achieved by creating a small bit  of custom code which allows the emailing as per your format and adds the lead to an existing CRM solution which provides you with all your other business needs. The important thing to remember when selecting a CRM or any web solution is to find a system which does the best job as the majority of your requirements   and you can build / customise the extra bits
