    Marseille are above Liverpool because they won the first meeting between the two sides so if Liverpool win 1-0 they will go through on goal difference, if they win by more than 1 goal they go through on head to head results if it's a draw, Marseille go through on head to head results

Thats because they beat us 0-1 so therefore they have a better head to head record

its because Marseilles beat Liverpool in the previous game, goal difference does not count in the Champs league, its all about results.
