Has anyone been on a Cruise to The Bahamas in December?

Anyone ever cruise out of Baltimore Maryland in December to the Bahamas ?

  • Is it worth the money, is it a nice cruise

  • Answer:

Depends. We did a Carnival cruise out of Baltimore last year to the Bahamas and it was outstanding. We got hooked and did another cruise out of Miami this year. Carnival is by far the cheapest more for the average joe, and Royal Caribbean is more expensive but more luxurious (never went on Royal C., going by what my friends told me that went). The cost of alcohol is about $5-8 per drink, and if I remember correctly beer was about $4-5 bucks. So if you don't drink alcohol, a cruise is even a sweeter deal. But if you do pace yourself to 2-4 drinks a day it will not be too bad, otherwise your cruise will become expensive. Tips: - If you don't have kids try to book in slow season early/mid December or January through early March. Much cheaper. If you book in advance you have more options. But occasionally they will have some good prices if you book a couple weeks before, but then your options are limited. - If you your budget allows, book a balcony room it's worth it. But if your budget is tight or you think you will not spend much time in your cabin/room anyways, book an interior cabin. Whenever somebody goes on their first cruise, it's normal to have dozens of questions beforehand. So if you end up going, you can call the cruiseline and they are really good about answering any questions you may have.
