Why does my incense smell like smoke when I burn it?

If i dont let incense burn completely will the smell stay, and for how long?

  • i need it for a school project to create the ambiance, but were most likely not allowed to let it burn, so wed have to burn it for a bit and then put it out.

  • Answer:

It depends on the quality of your incense sticks. Cheap incense sticks are usually thing and they are not deeply filled with the fragrance, so these will just lightly mark your home with a scent (that's mostly a smoky scent). The more expensive sticks tend to be thicker, firmer, and are deeply filled with fragrance..so there flavor enriched scent while last quite a while in your home. I have the thick incense sticks. I light one every morning at around 6 am..when I come home at 5:30 I still smell it in my room.

it depends on quality of it. i would advise why not sprinkle CHANDAN/ROSE WATER. Try burning Chandan(Sandal wood).

Incense doesn't burn, it smoulders. so even the most fanatical Health & Safety fanatic should be ok with it.
