Why is diwali celebrated?

  • its for my r.e homework and i just have to find out "why do Hindus celebrate Diwali" thanks

  • Answer:

This is a festival of lights, the celebration of good over bad and it is also celebrated as our Great Lord_ Lord Ram Chandra came back to Ayodhya after his 14 years of exile. The people of Ayodhya welcomed Lord RAMA by offering him lights by lighting small candle which we call as Diya's, also it is the biggest festival in India, in this we had to perform puja of goddess Lakshmiji and then we light crackers and fireworks.. Its is the biggest festival amongst Hindus in India

Which is the second longest poem in world ever written. They also have the first longest poem in world as epic named "Mahabharata"
