What is the meaning of Diwali-Festival of lights, to those who cant see? What can we do for these people?

    i like this question alot well for those who cant see the meaning doesnt have to be taken at face value people who cant see the joy of kids during christmas know inside their heart that the meaning of it is what they decide for themselves the meaning of diwali for those who cannot see should be whatever they interpret it as, for there is no special meaning that is dictated to diwali ffor those who cannot see we can always describe what it is like, we can tell them what WE see but that doesnt have to be it we can encourage them to know that seeing is not believing that what they believe is what is right

I am highly delighted to view this question.For the modern world the Diwali Festival can be of lights & firecrackers.This as I understood through readings of religious books etc is a festival not simply celebrated for lights. I guess people will have to leave the simple physical world and enter more deeper world of actually communicating and fighting ignorance. (light pushing darkness away.) Educate everyone that people are capable of many amazing things, even if not gifted as the majority. Steven Hawkings is an example of gifts overflowing where none were looked for. Everyone is like this. Fighting evil is everyones task. It's 2007 (in the west) but the "advances" are not really everywhere equally. Unless you meant blind people - then just get them involved - they understand joy same as anyone.
