How my Diwali is celebrated?

Had a great time when I was there the fireworks carried on all night and being British we felt duty bound to enter into the spirit of the occasion, we spent a fotune on fireworks.

Live in the Bay Area, California there are SOOO MANY INDIANS HERE.

There are all sorts of communal celebrations and in Temples too. Just google your area and find out if there is one near you.

invite your american friends and teach them the culture. you will enjoy it and so will your friends

well u should bring sweets and do aarti and have fun with ur family it doesnt matter if u dont really celebrATE AS MUCH AS OTHERS BUT REMEBER THAT U STILL ARE HINDU WHO CARES IF SOMEONE MAKES FUN OF U BECAUSE OF OUR RELIGON I AM HINDU TO

I am also an Indian staying outside India.But here it's much better than yours.Celebration is nothing without your family or friends.So finish your prayers and celebrate with your family and friends in your own unique way.

I agree with you. In India you would had been much better in your own culture as it takes long to be adjusted to a different culture and traditions.
