• If you have no idea of what I'm talking about, you're missing out big time on some great fun. Anyways, for those who celebrate it, WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR DIWALI?

  No festival in India is as festive as Diwali is. Many make preparation for this festival, months ahead. For no other occasion, people willingly spend their money and energy as for this occasion. But, a THOUGHT is not out of place here. This should be treated as an occasion for serving the poor and the have nots, with sweets and spread light in their life in whatever way it is possible. Firing crackers should be eschewed as a token of our affinity with the children who are employed and exploited by the manufacturers. The selfishness of savouring the rich sweets and food ourselves should be substituted with a fervent urge to visit the orphanages and the Old Age homes with a view to conveying our humanity to them. The Festival of Light should bring us a steady flow of peace and health. The just must prevail. The pride and the evil be burnt and brushed away. Love shall pervade all walks of life.
