why would ANY website in the world pay someone $5 just to click on a link?? that makes absolutely ZERO business sense. if YOU had a website and you wanted people to come there and hopefully buy things, would YOU pay someone $5-20, just to click and go to your webiste and then leave without even looking around??? You would be broke pretty fast

No way...no one could make any money doing tat...at best you might get a penny per click and even those will be few and far between - most will be in the range of $50 per thousand clicks. Since a click does not generate revenue for the person paying for the ad (in fact, the percentage of people buying on a click-through is very low), paying what you are asking would quickly drive a company into the loss column. If 5% of clicks resulted in a sale, and someone paid even $5 per click, that would mean to get 1 customer, you would have to spend $100. Assuming that the merchant made a 5% profit on the merchandise sold, that would mean that each click through customer would have to spend about $2,000 just for the merchant to break even on teh ad.
