For a start you can do SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and submit it to various search engines. But by submitting your site to top search engines like Google takes time hence to be indexed there you need to follow other paths. You can submit your site to various web directories. The most famous one is dmoz.org.. IF you are lucky to get your website listed you will be indexed on top search engines in no time. Also if you are willing to spend some money then submit your site on yahoo directory. Yahoo sure gives preference to the sites listed on their directory. The other method you can follow is by advertising on classifieds. There are lots of free classifieds available online.. craigslist.org is the free and the popular classified available online... then of course there is social media you can make use of.. You can make profiles on different social networking sites.. And leave comments on group discussions bullentins etc. Then there are social bookmarketing sites like digg, del.icio.us, stumbleupon.. I esp like stumbleupon for sending page links to other people.. Besides that you can ofcourse make use of Google Adwords and other PPC (Pay Per Click) programs.. but they cost you and usually aren't as effective...
