    I am having the same issue on one machine and not another. Both Windows XP Pro, both with their Windows Firewall and all filters OFF, and NO changes on the connection sharing firewall at all. YIM Launchcast does not require a public routable IP and when on a NAT private IP, does not require port forwarding across a router. Hence, these are NOT the issues. The one with the issues is version 8.1.0.249. The one that is fine is version 8.1.0.239. Both machines have Windows Media Player 11 and all updates from Microsoft Windows Update. If this is not enough information to go on, then the developers of Yahoo Launchcast need to write a module for YIM that can extract all relevant information on YIM and plugin version numbers, Windows Media DLL version numbers, etc. Then we could dump such a log back for more effective troubleshooting.
