Why did Yahoo do away with the Avatar makeover plug-in?

Yahoo! Avatar Makeover Plug-In Not Working-- I Keep Getting an Error Message!?

I intsalled the Yahoo! Avatar Makeover Plug-In, and I keep getting an error message. Is there any way to fix this problem?

I'm having the same error problem. I'm thinking it's because they haven't updated it for messenger version 9.0? It looks like the plug-in hasn't been updated for 2 years. Bummer, I've used the ap before and it's really fun. If they don't fix it soon, I'm thinking it shouldn't be promoted on the yahoo avatar page.
