Best place to stay in Bali?

If you want to be in the middle of the city, it's best to stay at the Kuta area. Try the Hard Rock Hotel, although it might be a bit old. If you want something new, maybe Best Western is a good place (it just recently opened up). I recommend staying four days in the Kuta area, then staying the rest of the three days in Nusa Dua area. Although Nusa Dua is a bit more expensive, a good place to stay there is Nikko Bali Resort & Spa. I remember going there around 10 years ago. Now the beaches aren't as good, but it's still a nice place to stay. They're also going to build a Hotel Mulia soon (it's a very famous hotel in Jakarta). Nusa Dua is a very secluded place, away from the crowd of the city, it's very relaxing. I think you'll enjoy it.
