What causes lower right back pain?

What causes headaches with severe pain in right eye and right back of neck?

  • Begins with burning pain in right back of neck, then progresses to right eye. Eye will feel as though it is rupturing from the pain. Lights, sounds, movements...everything seems to ...show more

  • Answer:

My sympathies. I agree w/ wc2 about misalignment, and I would guess a pinched nerve and inflammation are the problem. This is serious, chiropractor treatment is helpful for neck pain, I'm no judge of that, but your eye problem won't be fixed with pills. Think left-brain, right side control; (this is a reach) just allow that the injuries on your left side of head have produced an inner "bruise" within your skull, impacting your brain- the consequent swelling has produced pressure in a particular lobe, irritating it enough to cause the sensitivity you experience on right side of neck. Any fluids present seem to have migrated to left rear sector of skull, affecting the occipital lobe/ right eye vision. MRI's may not show fluid anomalies, but an IR scan might. Hope this helps.

Sounds like a migraine. I have migraines like yours (though not with any red eyes) and Imitrex did not help. Try Maxalt; it worked for me.

sensitivity to light, nausea and vomiting are symptoms of migraine. if it isn't a direct result of your accident. Drink lots of water. Soak in a hot tub with lavender oil http://www.thehealthierlife.co.uk/article/2929/migraine-remedy.html

its called a tension headache and they always attack the right side on every one i have ever talk to..so get some tension headache excedrin and try it if that doesn't work go see your dr and tell him/her whats going on and they might give you something for it...try the tension headache excedrin first and see how that goes...just remember as with prescribed meds it takes about 24 hours to really work good though...if i was you though i would talk to my doc first and find out if you have a pinched nerve or another health problem going on...the ruptured eye vessels should not be happening go to see your primary doc first right away if it continues again...good luck

Your neck is out of alignment due to your neck injury and causing you migraines. See a chiropractor. I know EXACTLY what you are going through. I very rarely get migraines anymore and whenever the pain in my neck starts or I begin getting headaches I go for an adjustment. I see the chiropractor about once a month. Have had two whiplash injuries and one compression injury so I know the pain you're in. Also try a different pillow....one that supports your neck while you sleep.

Wow! 1973 was a while back there. If you've been favoring those injured areas by walking a certain way or turning a certain way you want to seek a chiropractor and start working on getting things back in line..
