  • Answer:

It really depends on the college. Some colleges will take AP credit, some colleges will exempt you from classes based on SAT scores, and some colleges still require you to take certain intro level courses. Best to contact the colleges you're interested in and ask them.

As the first responder said, it depends on the college. Most students seem to consider a 3 on the test as passing. Many colleges will accept an AP Language score of 3, but some require 4 or 5 to give you automatic credit for English 101. A counselor at the college you're planning to go to will be able to tell you for sure if the score will count.

if by pass you mean getting a 5 or 4, then yes you don't have to take English 101. If you get a 3 depending on the college you may or may not be able to skip English 101.

It depends on the School. Some schools may deem your high school albeit college level English 101 as not to the standards they have for undergraduate learning. Also your major could affect the requirements as well.

It depends on the college you're going to attend. Each college has their own requirements. For example, at University of Pennsylvania, you are exempt from the foreign language requirment if you get a 4 or 5 on an AP exam in a foreign language exam. Check with the college you're aiming for to see if you become exempt and if so, what score is required.

Well if language and English are different kinds of classes then yea you do have to take it and if they're the same type of classes then no you don't have tot take it. If you're really unsure then you should check with your high school counselor.
