I took it and did fairly well. They have practice exams available (you might have to get it online if you're in another country) There are a lot of structure and comprehension questions. Big essay at the end.

it depends on the teacher a lot of times. but yes it is challenging and can be a lot of work. If you take and pass the AP exam at the end of the year you do not have to take freshman english in college so yes, expect it to be that rigorous. It involves a lot of reading and writing. Reading starts in the summer. hope that helps

When I was in high school all we did in AP English was read books and analyze them. If you love to read the class is wonderful. But, if reading isn't your thing I don't recommend it.
