  • Answer:

Most previous posters have been random junks or personal experiences which can mean nothing. I'm an online SAT tutor and a college student. I will give you the truly the BEST answer for your question in regards to SAT test. In order to prepare for SAT test, you must purchase CollegeBoard's Blue Book. This should be your SAT Bible. Also, if necessary, buy Collegeboard's Online SAT Course as well. I also recommend that you study HARD for SAT by hiring a tutor. Tutor can help you set a schedule or cover the areas that you need to work on. I would NOT recommend prep classes by expensive companies because they will be WASTE of your time. ACT/SAT prep courses are a waist of time. What you need to do is take the ACT and request your answers and pamphlet back so that you can review your mistakes and learn from them. There is also ACT/SAT software that you can buy at Wal-mart that is very helpful. You can also check to see if there are any on Amazon.com. Good luck on your exam!!

i took an SAT prep class with revolutionprep. even though it was a lot of money, it helped a lot. we took five practice tests plus classes. i would recomend it if you have the money ($500). if not then get a practice book and study it yourself.

See if your school can get you an old test or three. Also, go online to the ACT and SAT site. THey have some sample questions too. Its a lot of algebra and geometry. A little statistics, and trig. The same type of questions show up every year, so get familiar with them. Go to a library or book store too. There you will find a couple of companies that have SAT prep manuals, with fake tests in them. Take them. Good luck

Alright! I am now a senior in high school and I've been going through this "testing business" for the past year and lemme just say it's not exactly stress-free. However, it's not too bad if you know what to do. I took the SAT in March and I didn't do anything to prepare. I got a 1760. I'm an AP student and I've always gotten straight A's. It was just unfamiliar, but not too difficult. If I had it to do over again, I would have just gotten a study book, familiarized myself with the style of the test and types of questions I'd be asked, and done my very best (which, of course, I already did). I just took the ACT yesterday! It was so much easier than the SAT. For this particular test, I used a study book, "The Guide to the ACT" or something like that (you can order it online when you registed to take your test). It was helpful! I went into the test knowing exactly what to expect. I feel like I did great! Try not to stress out too much about these things. It really helps me to have this mindset: These tests are here to give you the opportunity to SHOW WHAT YOU KNOW. Just try to be calm and show your knowledge! GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND!
