Are online IQ tests reliable?

    Not worth it. That site has a true/false test with only like 50 questions. IQ is more complex. No way to measure it with so few questions, especially true/false. P.S. It's a paid site... It's a better indicator of gullibility than intelligence. (If you paid $10 to take the test, you're gullible.)

some yes, others no. and do you really need to know your iq that bad? for a three hour drive? trust me, colleges, jobs and other people dont look at your iq, they look at and care about you gpa.

I got a 131 on that test when I was 15. I took the official Mensa test just recently as a 17-year-old and scored the exact same thing. The Mensa test requires swift mental mathematical computation, slightly better-than-average vocabulary, and reasoning skills. It has pictorial analogies, questions about vocab, basic logic questions, and memory questions.... I had fun. Don't fear it, don't sweat... The sameness in the scores could be a coincidence....!

Not reliable. All the sites give you a high score just to make you want to pay money for an in depth analysis and explanation. Only accurate ones are the official ones not taken online.

No lol... lots of those tests tell everybody that they are a genius. I've taken some that tell me I have an IQ of 150 and some that tell me I have an IQ of 100 or 120 or 95 or totally random numbers. Those online sites are just collecting email addresses or viewers or sometimes even $ if they ask you to pay for something. To get officially tested you would have to pay several hundred dollars and get tested by a licensed psychologist, as you seem to already know. If you want to I would. I would never do that, I'm afraid it might damage my self-esteem lol! :)

they are not accurate and are not accepted in any official capacity. it is a good estimation though
