Does it really important? :: SATs in year 8?

this question makes no sense. Do you mean 8th grade?

I've done my english SATS in year 8 and my school is a grammar school hence the advance tests. You're school is probably a grammar school as well and full of bright students like yourself and therefore, students are to take the SATS a year earlier. No, it really won't affect your Universities or college, just maybe, you're learning sets in year 9, 10 and 11 as students have different learning capacities even if you're in a boffin school! Good luck don't worry i'm sure you'll do great!

they dont really count as nothing. they arnt anywere near as important as ur gcses and no-one ever wants to know what u got in them or anythings lol. its just 4 your teachers.

I've been told not to bother much about my year 8 exams. I'm doing a Russian GCSE in May and thats way more important than my SATs/exams so I'll concentrate on that for now. I don't think you should worry much about your year eight exams - I doubt that in 10 years time when you go for a job interview they'll be like: 'Oh-no, he failed all his year eight SATs, we can't give him this job!' so no worries! ;] I think that the first most important exams are your GCSEs. They lead you onto a good sixth-form. Then you do your A levels leading onto university and then a degree that should give you a job. so there you go!

what the hell howcome u got sats in year 8 as it is usually in year 9 anyways They are really really really important for ur future.They gonna tell u what u can take in future everything gonna depend on ur results try to get good levels to be in higher sets next year if u want to know anything about Sats like what they are why they are important then go on Connexions i have given the link below u can live chat with them they would tell u and help u with everything u want Good Luck I got my sats from 5th may as well but I am in year 9 as usually they are in Year 9?anyways who care.....

it might decide what level youre in for GCSE's but thats it and that would mean the more imp. ones are in year 9 but seriously.. its GCSES that counts not SATS, dont worry about it
