Heyyy Nadia! Sorry, this is not gonna be an answer. Just wanna make a comment. Are you guys SERIOUS! No books!? Wow..this even turns me down more. My teacher better start teaching us Trig and Algebra II. lol. xD I heard it's eighth grade curriculum. =] Edit: Heyy Liquid, THANKS. That helped. You're at Bronx Science right?

Thats no true! 650 is so high and how can anyone possibly get that! I think mid 500s and high 500s are enough to get in.
BAKA.
it definitely is 8th grade curriculum i recommend barron's integrated algebra regents book if you feel you need extra prep also there are two pages of shsat 9th grade math at the end of the specialized high school handbook which you can get from your guidance counselor and two pages of shsat 9th grade sample questions at the back of your barron's SHSAT prep book. :)

I'd practice on techniques for answering multiple choice questions for one. Trigonometry and Algebra II are new on the 9th grade test

actually the cut off for tech was a 480 so unless it wasnt your first choice you should have gotten into tech. also i dont think there is anything different but you have to get at east a 650 to be elligible for any of the schools. Good luck. oh my mistake i guees its a bit harder. get a math tutor. if you are not that great at mathin the first place then you should really get a tutor and then maybe take kaplan to really practice for the test. Barrons is a good book to study from.
Julie =)
Interesting cause I've learned Trigonometry. I don't think there are practice books. You can go to some prep school to learn this stuff. There are less chances of getting in.

wut bandita says is true. actually there aren't really any books for 9th grade but I would crack open a trig book and a algebra II book. remember, all the questions wont be on only these two topics so relax. btw, i got into tech (521). i put bronx 3rd cuz its too far for me.
howdy
Well I doubt you have any chances at all of making stuy if you only scored a 483 in 8th grade... Im in 8th grade and I scored a 509 but I missed bronx science by 2 freaking points!! I made American Studies though which I guess is okay.
