Answer:
You can never over prepare for the SAT. The format of the test is different, but the content is basically the same. You should also get on the email list for the SAT question of the day. I'm in my second year of college, and I still like to answer the question of the day just for fun.

yyeah it's all the same information the only difference is how the book is set up or ask different kinds of example questions.

The questions in the book, even the current one, are just a collection of questions that have appeared on past tests and or are simular to the type of material you will find on the current test. its not an exact.. here are the questions you will find on the test type of thing. It should be good enough, but you may want to go to your local library and review the current one some too.

As long as that version includes the new essay part (sorry I'm in college and i missed that whole thing) it's prob not that much different. If you're going to save some money, it'd stick with the 2006 version. Maybe do some online research to find out if there have been any changes from 06 to 08 just to make sure

It is fine, as long as it is new enough to include the essay section. When they added the essay section, they changed the other two sections as well.

As long as the format has not changed. I think a 2 year span is OK.

I think it would be to your benefit to buy the updated book. Things have changed over the last 2 years.

Yes the test may have changed but the strategies that you use on the test are the same. The updates are usually on the types of questions.
