What is a decent SAT score?

Is 1380 a decent SAT score? Also, what is a decent SAT score?

Out of 2400, you might want to retake that. Out of 1600, that is good, but still not going to guarantee you anything. Schools always look for the highest scores possible. So if your SAT scores aren't really impressive, you better hope you have great community service, grades, extra-curricular activities.

it's good compared to the old SAT (max 1600), not with today's SAT.

Um...no offense but that's pretty bad. I would sign up for an SAT prep-course and retake it at least twice before applying for college. Good luck!

Honestly, no, considering people could have gotten that score taking the old SAT which was only out of 1600. A "decent" score would depend on where you want to go. The average is around 15-1600, I think, so I guess an 1800 would be "decent." It depends on what you want... some kids are happy with 1600's, while other kids cringe when they see their 2100.

it depends if you took the 1600 point SAT or the 2400. on the 1600 scale it is quite good
