How long do sunburns take to heal depending on how bad they are?

  • i have a burn on the back of my neck and nose and i just got it eariler today and i am wondering how bad it is and how long it will take to heal. And maybe some methods to make it go ...show more

    Aloe vera...but watch out cuz I've heard a lot of aloe products have lanolin or something like that in it and its not good for a burn. I've found that cocoa butter and shea butter help heal burns... I have this stuff that's vaseline cocoa butter smoothing body butter... the last time I got a burn I put that stuff on it religiously...like as soon as it soaked into the skin I put more on...the burn was gone the next day XD Every sun burn seems to vary as far as heal time goes...hopefully it will be gone in a couple days. You know you're in trouble when your skin blisters...I had a sunburn once that made a blister on my shoulder and I still have a scar from it /: Other than that, just try to make sure you dont do anything to further aggrevate the skin...no jewelery or clothing rubbing on it...dont use a loofa or anything like that in the shower if u normally do...

not sure how long it last but i would say that it depends on your skin type and the severity of the burn. if its really bad my skin can take up to a week to heal completey (although the pain settles own after 3 days) to make it heal more quckly use some after sun lotion or alovera spray (this may sting a little but works well). ice or a cold shower will help the heat. however if the burn is extremely bad and painful calamine lotion is great.

well it will go away faster if u use aloe and eat well and sleep and stay out of the sun and drink a ton of water.
