You can check out this link to see what the laws are in your state: http://www.hslda.org/default.aspx. You can homeschool, but I agree, need the support of your parents. You can take public school online if it is the classroom/school/social environment that is hard for you. (Your guidance counselor should have those options.) More an more resources are coming into the online arena now. Or, you can "go rogue" and do your own thing. Each state has its own guidelines for homeschooling. The link above will tell you the rules for your state (CA), will give you info on support services in your state (homeschooling groups), information on why homeschooling works, suggestions for curriculum, etc. You just have to dig in to get the info you need. If you are in highschool and maybe 10th grade or later, you may also be able to enroll either online or locally in your community college for dual credit. Just that change may help you. Even if only part time. Your state laws will determine IF someone else can homeschool you. THere are families who school other people's children out there in the homeschooling community. It depends on the state as to whether that is legal. (You can take courses outside the home typically.) Of course, then you have to decide if you pay those people or not. You can enroll in online courses for homeschooling, too. Those typically charge a fee as you are paying for the online tutor. There are free options out there for homeschooling (ie, free curriculum online), but usually you need some sort of guidance. That does not mean your parents have to teach you. But, you have to be extremely self-motivated and very good at self-education, otherwise. Many students in the homeschool high school years hire tutors or take online courses if their parents cannot help them w/ coursework or if they are not capable of self-education. But, there are many areas where you CAN self-educate and just focus on those few areas where you need tutors (upper level math?). There are many, many, many ways to homeschool. Again, the key is: the laws in your state. Start there. Best wishes to you. Your education is very important. And, it should not make you depressed! I have a 16 yr old daughter that I have homeschooled from the beginning. She is a typical teen who sometimes would rather not do schoolwork. But, she knows what her goals are (college bound), she has good tutors, is studying exciting things (well, she may not say that about math - lol), and she has *time* to pursue her passions (currently, recording music). So, that is key. Are you passionate about anything ? Even if just reading a good book! Talk to your parents.....let them help. Best wishes to you! PS Regaarding the socialization question, here's a link that addresses that: http://letshomeschoolhighschool.com/blog/2013/11/17/high-school-homeschoolers-socialization-faq/#.UonmBNKsiSo Don't let anyone fool you, you don't HAVE to go to a school with 1600 of your closest friends (eyes rolling) in order to be "socialized". Homeschooled children are very active in their communities, their church, their families, with other peers, activites, etc. We have a VERY, VERY rich life. When given the opportunity, my daughter chooses homeschooling every time. It is a valid option and does not stunt your social life. Unless you are being bullied at school...then yes, it will stunt that. NO MORE BULLYING when you homeschool! BOOM! (lol) Another link: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/dec/13/home-schooling-socialization-not-problem/ Again, best wishes. I hope you find an education path that encourages you!! Even if it is rethinking your current situation. Hang in there!

If you have a parent who is willing to invest the time to home school you then you are part way there. You have to ensure your state/City/District allows home schooling. If they do, then you need to get registered and obtain the curriculum from the education department in your area and you are mostly there. Once you are registered and have the curriculum - off you go.

Your mom, dad or someone in your home has to agree to home school you and then there are some rules they have to follow.

You don't neccesarily need anyone to homeschool you. You can do it yourself. You don't need anyone's permission, you are your own person and nobody can boss you around. If you want this, and if its whats best for you, then don't let them stand in your way.

Dear .. why you hate school? This is the only place where you can make friends. If you cant make it right now then keep patience it will come.... may be slowly but will come. Homeschooling is a good idea for parents not a good idea for students... dont go for it... You will repent. Homeschooling disable your ultimate ability of socializing which skill people call marketing in later point of their life. If you can't market yourself now... learn it. if you can't learn then god only can help you dear. Homeschooling is for losers who are not suitable for this world... Rest choice is yours
