You would have to be the first person I've run across who decides to homeschool for these reasons. I chose homeschool because I wanted my kids to be educated! Without knowing the age of your daughter, I can't recommend a curriculum. However, by the end of high school you should make sure she takes these courses in addition to the "courses" you described above. Algebra 1 and 2 Geometry Pre-calculus Physical science Biology Chemistry Physics *OR* Advanced Chemistry *OR* Advanced Biology Four years of High School level English At least two years of Foreign Language, preferably more. World Geography (with current events) World History (with current events) U.S. History (with current events) Government Economics Other good things would be Music, Fine Arts, Performing Arts.

You don't say how old she is but I am home schooling my sixth grader this year and we are doing the ACE Paces. It is a wonderful program. It is very easy to do at home. You work in work books where your child is self taught. The books come with instructions and examples. If she doesn't understand something then you can explain it to her. My daughter does great in these. She had a 95 average this year doing this program. I know how you feel about the school district. I hate our school district. You can order these paces online. They are only three dollars a book and you need to order the answer keys for the pace tests. You can order a whole packet by grade.

In most States, you're required to teach at least the five subjects of reading, english, math, science, and social studies. You can either enroll her in an accredited home school program such as:http://www.pearblossomschool.com/ http://www.calvertschool.org/home-school/ http://www.abekaacademy.org/AcademicPrograms/Traditional.html Or, you may decide to just design your own program for her, which is what some parents decide to do. You can include any or all of the subjects you mentioned in your question, along with the required subjects. Whatever you choose to do, I hope all goes well. I'm including a link to HSLDA which will give you information on the homeschooling laws in your state: http://www.hslda.org/Default.asp?bhcp=1

I've always heard you can't teach stupid. Sounds like your gonna try. You know I think I saw a compound out west full of girls and women, on CNN a little while back that might interest you. She doesn't even need a diploma there. Just a marriage license, if she is the lucky first wife.

Many online charter schools are popping up all over. Many of them are now using k12 products. k12 schoolsare good for many reasons. Each student is given a placement test and then given individualized curriculum based on his or her individual needs. With the help of online charter schools today, homeschooling can be much easier than it used to be. They provide you with everything you need, a computer, a printer, books, supplies, and teachers that you can both email and call for help and assistance. This is free and there are no charges. Online schools are definitely becoming a way of the future for the children in generations to come. Going to an online school is no different than going to a traditional public school or a private school. They graduate with a real diploma the same as any school. My son graduated from an online charter school and now attends a private university (University Of Dayton) with scholarships. They will also help you with making sure that all state required tests are done yearly and proficiencies are completed for graduation.

Try: www.clp.org They have a Homeschool Plus program which will lead her to a diploma. All the required school subjects, from a biblical perspective, through highschool. And it's built so that she can pretty much work independently. If she has any difficulty with it, she can call them on the phone and they can help her with it.
