Well, O.K. I don't know UR age. But if UR mom doesn't want to home school U because she doesn't want 2 B responsible 4 UR education there R always companies that have home school on DVD. One of these is ABEKA and actually it is pretty inexpensive. So maybe if U do a little research and give her the information she might have something 2 look into.

I was just on the same boat and had to convince my parents to let me be homeschooled. Your mom doesn't necessarily have to "teach" you, all she has to do is make sure your completely your work. Look into homeschooling a little more, but remind her that it is a much higher education than what your getting in any public school. Also there are many online home-schooling sites you can do. Some colleges even have a online- high school program. email me if you need anymore information, hope this helped! :P

I'm home schooled and I'm 13. The down side of homeschooling is you're not around other kids AS MUCH. I have friends but, whatever, you get the point. That's pretty much it with the down side. The up side is that you get your school work done faster and you have more free time, you don't have to deal with the pressure and all the other stuff that comes with public school, home schoolers have better grades than public schoolers (No offense to any of you guys out there), I get to take my work to my room and do school with my cat in bed :D, I can sleep in (Usually until about 9), and I just love homeschooling. My satellite school has field trips and everything. A satellite school is a place where they can help you with books, school records, and just over all help you (Mostly your mom or dad). And they help you graduate and give your a ceremony. You don't have to have a satellite school though. I'm a straight A student and I've skipped a grade. Some books even have DVDs that you can watch. Like math. I have Math.U.See. I love it!!! Homeschooling is awesome. Ask your mom to research it a little bit or you can research it. I love home school. I will be putting my son through A Beka Academy (it's Christian based). They offer a program of schooling that comes with DVDs, and the DVDs are real teachers teaching you the material for each subject. It's a great program for parents who feel inadequate to do it on their own.

Here are some tips about talking to your mom about homeschooling. Some kids choose to write their parents a letter. Above all-stay calm and reasonable and state your facts. http://virtualonlineschool.blogspot.com/ If you want information about free online schools-request their catalogs and give your mom some time to become familiar with what is available. K12, kaplan and Connections Academy are all good programs. here are the states where they offer free homeschooling. http://takecontrolofyoureducation.blogspot.com/ They provide you with books and a teacher to oversee your education. Realize that your mom might be fearful of trying to teach you. Homeschooling is a lot like doing homework and you will be able to do much of your work independently. Best of Luck! I home school my year 7 boy and it is very hard. Home schooling is 5 to six hours of solid work no chatting to your friends and having a rest. It is work based not time based. this means you have to complete all all your work even if you sick. in main stream school if you go on holidays the teacher will set some easier work if any at all but for HS you have to complete all your work still. If you are having problems at school go to the school councilor and talk to them and they may be able to speak to mum or find other ideas.

Your mom doesn't teach you, it's the schooling system you use. Im homeschooled and all my dad has to do is correct the work. good luck, what i told my dad was " i should be able to choose the education i want to have " haha.. well im also an aspiring actress so it's hard when your in regular school.

When you get home schooled, you don"t necessarily get home schooled by your own parents. They have like little group home schooling.

I was homeschooled and what I did was got a tutor for the things I couldn't do myself and did the rest myself. Maybe she would consider it if you found some tutors and got some prices and told her you'd be going to tutor this many times a week to get your subjects done you can't do on your own. I used a christian based homeschool called ACE [accelerated christian education] school of tomorrow. And they give you packet books called Pace's and you work out of those and at the end you take a test. You send in the tests every 18 tests you finish. It was a really good program and I liked it a lot. It was good because I could bring the packets with me to my tutoring sessions instead of having to worry about them helping me on the computer.
