What do you feel makes a good day nursery?

  • setting up my own day nursery and was wandering if you would like to share a point or two as to what you feel makes a good day nursery ages 6 months - 5 years

    Child being able to actively explore the environment, teacher with age appropriate curriculum, conducive environment for nurturing and learning. Plenty of opportunities to work and socialize with others, interact verbalization and independent and critical thinking episodes. Assessments and parent education. Open avenue with parents, parent meetings, parent input and making the parents feel part of the program and letting them know their input is important.
