  • Answer:

The simplest thing to do is to have the parent/s to provide everything from formula to diapers. Then you do not have to worry about having to buy those things. Also give the option of a child bringing their snacks and lunch to your providing the lunch and snack. If they choose to have you to provide that charge and extra $5.00 a day. It keeps it simple and waste down. Call around and see what others are charging and you can adjust your rates to be competitive.

It depends on where you are. If you call around daycare centers in your area then you will get a better idea of what you can charge. The daycares in my area charge about 200-240 a week per child depending on age. I charge less then that, but not much. I also ask the parents to provide diapers and formula for younger children.

where did you get your figure of $80 pw from? I would recommend you contact other local providers and find out what they are charging to help you pitch it right. I am a childminder in the UK, and i charge £3 per hour. The parents provide their own food and nappies (diapers). each day the child is brought with their own lunch boxes and care bag containing nappies, wipes, spare clothes etc. Also, you can claim back expenses against tax such as costs associated with transporting children, playgroups, equipment such as toys, books and art equipment. Do some reseach, and contact other like minded people so that you receive support and advice.

i think it should be more expensive for the younger kids since you have to buy formula and stuff, and i think it should be like $20 a day. (so you add it up) but i seriously dont think it should get to be like $600 dollars a month, thats (freaking expensive)

if about 8 hours (full daycare, a child about 3-6), is about 400 bucks per month. if about 8 hours (full daycare, a child about 7-12), is about 600 bucks per month .
