Im looking to work at a childcare center... types of questions in interview?

    Just look simple and neat. Most questions are typically why do you think you're fit for the job? an a lot of the time they will put you in scenarios such as what would you do if a child hit/bit another child? How would you deal with difficult parents? What would you do if your co workers were gossiping? These were questions that I was asked during the interview

I agree with one of the first responses; dress up the jeans for your interview outfit. When I went on an interview to work in a preschool I was asked what my favorite activities to do with the kids were. They might also ask you to come in for a trial which is where you go into the different rooms and spend some time interacting with the kids and the other teachers. If they ask you why you want to work with children, try not to say because you like them or because they're fun. Really think about it and come up with a meaningful answer. Be energetic and cheerful and I'm sure you'll do great. Good luck!

most likely they'll give you scenarios. What would you do if one of the kids started swearing at the others? what do you do if you have reason to believe the kids are being abused? What if someone has an accident, how would you handle it? then, the usual. what experience do you have with kids? why should they choose you over everyone else?

You need to be sure your appearance is neat and clean. Ask about the number of children per adult. Also ask what your specific responsibilities would be. What is the chain of authority? Who do you report to and what are the security procedures.
