How much is it to take a train from D.C. to NYC?

I would like to know if it is possible to take the train from D.C into NYC?

  • Answer:

Yes, it is possible via the Amtrak Northeastern Corridor. It will not be nonstop, and expect it to take a couple hours. If you have a larger budget, you can take the high speed Acela Train, which travels at a maximum of 150 mph.

Amtrak Acela Train. 3+ hours. Very bumpy ride. The cost is not reasonable.

Yes. I did it in 1964 and it's still running. Probably has the same coffee. But, you can do it.

Yes there is the crescent that departs daily but is a reserved train and must have a reservation, but due to passengers safety, will not accept passengers between d.c. And nyc. The are a myriad of commuter trains departing almost every hour without a reservation and are very fast.
