Can i collect a train ticket via a fast ticket machine from a different train station?

I'm wanting a cheap advance ticket from Yarm however Yarm station is unstaffed and tickets are to be purchased on the train - I'm a student! So i was wondering if i could book a ...show more

Yes you can collect tickets from any mainline station, that has a fast ticket machine even though the station you collect from is not part of your journey. long as you start from your destination and finish there you shoould have no problems

book it online with virgin trains they post the tickets to youre home

Yes you can , i do this if i'm travelling home as my station doesn't have a fast ticket machine. All you do is put your info into the machine and it will print your tickets, any station any where will do it for you! Ahhh the wonder of technology!
