You may get upper class only when the chart is prepared and that time also your 2AC ticket is wait listed the railways may upgrade you to 1st Class.But this you have to mention in the irctc.co.in about upgrading you or fill in the form.If you want to experience the 1AC go to to station at 6.00 AM and make your chances to be no.1 in line then you may get or else try when there is no peak period that is July to September.

There is only way to book TATKAL ticket whose booking will start one day prior to date of journey at 10 am.
