The Promotional websites like Makemytrip, Cleartrip, Yatra are closed when the booking starts at 8 and remains closed till 12 PM. The Only website open from 8 AM to 12 PM is irctc.co.in. You also cannot book the ticket on irctc mobile app till 12 PM. The best way to get confirmed 100 % reservation is , Walk to the nearest Railway Station which have Computer Reservation but is not a major station,there the crowd is usually very less in number. Since Booking of Tatkal starts at 8 reach there by 6 AM , be the first in crowd. For eg. In Delhi there are many station like New Delhi, H,Nizamuddin, Anand Vihar Terminus, Old Delhi and Sarai Rohilla. These all are major stations. So we have Delhi Cannt also which is not major station but still trains stop there, So Computer Reservation will be available, Delhi Safdarjung ,Azadpur, Subzi Mandi also have computer reservation and the crowd is very low, These stations can be prefered.
