Answer:
Your major problem is that there is no direct underground link from Euston to Liverpool Street. (You could walk to Euston Square, but if you don't know London I wouldn't advise that) You need to follow the signs to the Underground, then look for the Northern Line (black on the map), southbound, City Branch*. Get the first train and change at the next station which is Kings Cross/St. Pancras. Follow the signs to the Circle and Metropolitan lines (yellow/purple) - you will have to go upstairs - and get the first eastbound train (it doesn't matter which line) to Liverpool Street (four stops) * I don't want to confuse you, but should you get lost and end up on the Northern Line, West End branch (next station Warren Street) don't panic. Stay on the train for another two stops to Tottenham Court Road, and change there for eastbound Central Line (red on the map). Five stops to Liverpool Street.

Trust me, you'll be fine! The tube network is actually really simple to get around. There's a train every 2 or 3 minutes in either direction on evey line. You'll do well to get lost! There are plenty of signs everywhere and station staff are usually very helpful (there are loads of them!). You've got nothing to worry about, but good luck anyway!

Yeah it's fine - you just have to follow the signs or ask someone - there are loads of workers standing around who'll help you.

Is there any way of getting someone from Chelmsford to meet you at Euston. You do not want to be asking strangers in London for directions especially as you are only 16.

The best thing to do is not panic when you look at the tube maps, and try and avoid travelling in london between about 4 and 7 in the evening and 7 and 10 in the morning. These are the busiest times when the amount of people rushing around will make it much more confusing. All of the underground lines are colour coded on the map, so if all the names get confusing, just remember to get, for example the yellow line two stops southbound, then the red line five stops eastbound. These aren't the actual directions, but you can find maps online to work out your best route. I would avoid Bank and Monument stations like the plague though if you've never travelled in London before, they are about the most confusing thing the tube can throw at you. Chelmsford itself is fine, just make sure you get whoever you are meeting to meet you at the station. Unless of course it's a guy called Mark with a horrific scar on his face, who lied about his age several times, and then I would highly recommend going straight back home, however guilty he tries to make you feel. But then that would be too much of a depressing coincidence for it to be worth mentioning, and the only reason I am is because I bothered to type out this whole sentence. In general however if you are going to meet anyone off the internet, make sure you check them out and make sure they are OK first. Of course I'm making assumptions, but it's a hell of a long way to go on your own to meet someone who you can't know properly. Rant over.

It's not all that bad, but you would do well to go with someone the first time.
