How do you get to the Port of Dover on a train?

    Since the withdrawal of the "Boat Train" services, the only station in Dover itself is called Dover Priory, which is served by Southeastern services from London Charing Cross and London Victoria. You can get a train from either Waterloo or Victoria to Dover Priory. Here is an example of them running now. Every hour will be the same except on a Sunday WAT VIC WAT VIC Arr. Dovercourt is nowhere near Dover, it is in Essex. Dover Priory is in the town centre and if you need the ferry port you can just get a taxi. There are regular services from London usually twice an hour.

The station in Western Docks was closed some time ago and there is only the one station Priory now. Trains run from London Victoria via Faversham and London Charing Cross via Ashford and the journey will take app. 2 hours. A courtesy bus links the station and the port during the day from app. 0700 - 2000.
