How reliable is a Suzuki Aerio?

How much does it cost to get new brake pads for a Suzuki aerio?

  • I have a '05 Suzuki Aerio two wheel drive, and I was just wondering how much it was going to cost to get new brake pads.

  • Answer:

If you want to do them yourself, you're looking at about $45 for Bendix brand at Advance auto parts. And they can ship them to you. The rear are drum brakes, don't work as well, but tend to last longer. They are probably OK. I have over 100K on mine, on original rears. ('03). Got the brakes raped, I mean done at the dealers for last inspection, and ended up costing me close to $200. Usually, if a shop does them for you, they'll put your rotors on a lathe, and charge you for that. If I had planned ahead (read next time) I'll put new rotors and pads on before I get it inspected again.

It looks like brake pads are between $20 and $50 online for the front and about the same for the rear for your car. Figure on approximately an hour for each end of the car in terms of labor.

I'd say $25 to $30 for the pads if you do it yourself. But take it to a brake shop and get a free estimate.
