Any tips for driving an automatic 4x4 suzuki vitara please?

Just because you have a 4x4 it will not stop you from sliding. It will just not get stuck as easy in snow. Unfortunately you have an automatic gearbox which doe's not help. A manual with a low range gearbox is far better for driving downhill in ice as you can avoid using brakes to control your car. That said suzukis are excellent 4x4 cars.
